We recently assisted our client, a boutique law firm in the City of London, with costs recovery in a group litigation. The case was brought by over 40 claimants against a law firm that failed to warn them of the risks of a £57m care home investment scheme.
We assisted with the preparation of a comprehensive schedule of costs for a mediation. The schedule of costs was set out in separate parts, distinguishing the common costs and the individual costs incurred on behalf of each claimant. The schedule of costs also provided various forms of breakdowns of the costs that were specific to the case. It enabled the parties to quickly identify the amount of costs incurred in relation to specific issues.
